    PlayStation has suspended its activity on Facebook and Instagram

    In the past hours Sony has communicated, via a tweet on his Twitter account, that users of Facebook e Instagram they will not see any sponsored content PlayStation among their feeds in July. As reported on GamesIndustry.biz, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has decided to stop all its activities on the following platforms in support of the campaign #StopHateForProfit, which aims to urge marketers to pressure Facebook (and Mark Zuckerberg) to adopt stricter rules against those groups that feed hate and offensive content. We report below what SIE communicated:



    In support of the #StopHateForProfit campaign, we have globally suspended our Facebook and Instagram activity, including advertising and unpaid content, until the end of July. We are going to work (and play) together forever.

    After Coca-Cola, Honda, Unilever, Ford, Starbucks and Microsoft products (which suspended its activity on Facebook and Instagram until the end of June, although it still holds 1,3% of the shares of the well-known social network), the Japanese giant has also decided to implement the same policy by supporting the cause #StopHateForProfit. Also, according to several rumors, next week PlayStation might reveal the price and exit date of the newest PlayStation 5.
