PlayStation 5: Sony has accidentally anticipated new details on the trophies?

Over the past few hours, Sony announced new details on upcoming changes to the Trophies featured on PlayStation 4, to prepare players for what will be the transition to the next generation console, PlayStation 5, coming to the next 19st November 2020. A post published on the French version of the official PlayStation blog seems to confirm that, in addition to the novelties presented previously, PlayStation 5 will have a in-depth monitoring of trophies. After a few minutes the entry was removed from the blog, so at the moment we cannot yet confirm the real presence of the feature within the PlayStation ecosystem. Shortly before its removal, the information was quickly spread on social media by a large number of users, who pointed out that Sony may have anticipated information that would be released over the next few days. We just have to wait for more information from Sony, that for the time being did not comment on the alleged leak of news.

On PlayStation 5, you will be able to track your progress towards individual trophies for compatible games on PlayStation 5. For example, you will sometimes see how many artifacts you need to collect or how many armor upgrades you need to earn before unlocking the trophy.

This could be an incredibly cool feature, especially for players looking to reach the top in every title and collect all the collectibles available within a game. This trophy tracking supposedly should work similarly to the goals it came up with Xbox One in 2017. Through that update, Microsoft products added a new menu that allows players to easily see how far they are from completing an objective in a game, as well as the certain rarity of each one. We remind you that at the moment this feature is not yet fully confirmed, but given that it has been leaked from an official PlayStation source, it is very likely that this will happen in the next few days. In the meantime, we just have to wait for confirmation from Sony.
