PlayStation 5: Has Sony already acquired two new studios?

As we had already anticipated in one our recent news, in an official financial report Sony Interactive Entertainment, with the advent of the PlayStation 5, said it was determined to acquire new development teams in order to expand the brand PlayStation Studios already made up of studies of the caliber of Bend Studio, N, Guerrilla Games, Media Molecule, Sucker Punch Productions e Insomniac Games. In this financial report let's read:

First party games, developed and sold by a platform owner, are particularly important IPs for those who want to create valuable content and increase their future earnings. In addition to improving the working environment of its studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment aims to continue its investment and acquisition activities of highly creative companies that can also boast of cutting-edge technologies.

Reconnecting to this news, we bring you an interesting indiscretion born in the last hours. As noted on Reddit, a leaker by name Jace_Skell means your Twitter account revealed that Sony, according to information in its possession, has already acquired two new development teams. The place in question reads:

I noticed that Sony has just entered into two deals this month to acquire as many major third-party studios that will join the PlayStation Studios family. If this were true it would mean that the total studios working under PlayStation Studios are now 16.

It came to my attention that SONY just sealed 2 deals this month to acquire 2 major 3rd party publishers to join the PlayStation studios family. if true this means total Studios working under PlayStation Studios are now 16.

Although this is only an indiscretion, it is as confirmed by the aforementioned financial report from Sony, where the desire to expand the PlayStation Studios brand with new development teams is made clear. We remind you that PlayStation 5 is scheduled for the end of the year, to coincide with the start of the holidays. Currently the only exclusive title that will accompany the next generation console will be Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, although it has recently been specified that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart should come out close to the launch of the new Sony platform.
