PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-gen

Now that the next-gen is here, we all can't wait to find out what new titles this generation can give us. Still, the launch of PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X / S has seen the release of tons of free updates, which have given new life to some of the most interesting productions of the last generation. Between 4K, 60FPS e Ray Tracing, the transition to the next-gen is simply sensational and once the two versions of the same title have been compared, it is really difficult to be able to believe what we previously considered to be of the highest level. We therefore asked ourselves which, among the titles of the last generation, deserve an update to the next-gen, both because they would be able to express their potential to the maximum, thanks to an improved technical sector, and because, perhaps precisely because of the console limitations old-gen, they failed to show their muscles at their best. Without getting lost in further talk, let's see the titles we would like to replay optimized on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S!

The Last of Us Part 2

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-genTo start with The Last of Us Part 2 is perhaps a bit obvious: the title developed by N it was a real miracle on old-gen, a jewel that we still struggle to believe ran on PlayStation 4 and it's hard to think of a real upgrade on next-gen. Despite this, replay the dramatic story of Joel e Ellie on PS5, at 60FPS and, why not, with the support of extraordinary technology Ray Tracing, it could turn out to be a completely new experience. Add in the reduced loading times too, the haptic feedback and overtime adaptive triggers DualSense and that's it!

Batman: Arkham Knight

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-genIt's been nearly six years since Batman: Arkham Knight, but the conclusion of the incredible trilogy Rocksteady Studios remains one of the most technically advanced titles of the last generation. The preponderant presence of the batmobile, criticized by some, however, showed the obvious limitations of the consoles on which it ran: in the most eventful game phases there was some lag. With an upgrade for next-gen, the Dark Knight's dramatic adventure would be able to leave those behind not always constant 30fps, in favor of the much more appreciable 60, with 4K resolution and, we really hope, a mode that includes the use of Ray Tracing, which would make the spectacular Gotham City even more majestic.

Assassin's Creed Unity

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-genAt this point, and after reading the title of this game, some of you will surely be turning up their noses: among all, Assassin's Creed Unity it is in fact the least appreciated chapter of the series Ubisoft. Any player will remember the storm that followed the game's launch, which landed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One bringing with it a multitude of bug e glitch that inexorably marked the experience. Despite this, to date, the extraordinary Paris where the videogame dedicated to Arno dorian remains one of the most beautiful locations that have ever been built. With the power of the new consoles, in short, we are sure that many players will re-evaluate one of the most controversial chapters of the entire series.

Bloodborne

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-genBloodborne is without a doubt one of the best titles of the last generation and that is precisely why we can't wait for that FromSoftware release the PlayStation 5 version of one of the most popular exclusives of the last generation. The souls-like dark fantasy directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki however, it presented a great limitation: the frame rate it was indeed stuck at 30, without the possibility of removing the cap, not even on PS4 Pro. Even today, even starting the title on PS5 via backwards compatibility, it is in no way possible to exceed 30fps and it is therefore for this reason that, in our opinion, an upgrade would be necessary, so as to allow many users to be able to (re) play this extraordinary title.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-gen

Skyrim we have seen it in all sorts of ways, played on any platform available and even on a pregnancy test! Still, the fifth installment of The Elder Scrolls main series hasn't tired us yet, and probably never will. On PC we have also seen the arrival of many MODs that have proved capable of further enhancing the title, making it, in fact, comparable with current generation games. 4K, 60fps, Ray Tracing: We expect this from a possible upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S of Skyrim and we already have our mouths watering!

Watch Dogs

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-gen

Like Assassin's Creed Unity, Watch Dogs is one of those titles that have greatly disappointed the public. In fact, presented in the now distant 2012, the Ubisoft title was able to leave everyone speechless, thanks above all to a extraordinary technical sector, Without precedents. As we know, however, the launch of the game was not so rosy and Ubisoft was even accused of downgrade. To date, however, thanks to the new generation consoles, that utopian Watch D0gs of theE3 2o12 it doesn't seem so far away anymore. As some of you will also know, the season pass di Watch Dogs: Legion, the most recent installment in the series, includes the character of Aiden Pearce and the Complete Edition the first Watch Dogs; Could it be a clue to the arrival of a next-gen upgrade of the game?

Sunset Overdrive

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-genBefore devoting himself to the very famous Marvel's Spider-Man, the development team of Ratchet and Clank, Insomniac Games, worked on the colorful Xbox exclusive Sunset Overdrive! A highly appreciated title, which has been able to entertain many players and which on Xbox Series X / S could prove to be an incredible product. Despite being playable on the new Microsoft consoles, Sunset Overdrive does not boast some of the features that could elevate it to the level of current generation titles: the frame rate is locked at 30, while 4K resolution is not supported. All limits that could be overcome with an update, which we hope will arrive soon!

Red Dead Redemption 2

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S: the games we would like to be optimized on next-gen

The prequel to Red Dead Redemption could not miss in this article. Although it is a technically advanced title, probably one of the most realistic open world ever, we are sure that the creature. Rockstar Games can still give a lot. An upgrade next-gen it would allow to appreciate even more the beauty of this work. It would be great to be able to choose between a performance mode, at 60fps, and a graphics mode with technology Ray Tracing.
