Playdead: the studio behind Limbo and Inside works on an open world sci-fi

Playdead is working on developing a new one 3D title. After Limbo e Inside, two 2D platoforms, the Danish software house is about to make the long-awaited transition to three dimensions. This is what is shown by a series of employment notices that appeared on the Official site. Among the various profiles requested, those of Senior 3D Artist, Experienced Level Artist, Experienced Gameplay Designer, Experienced Graphics Programmer, Experienced Material and Texture Artist e Technical Director. All professional figures that indicate, in fact, the desire to work on a new work and that will put the young people of Copenhagen before a very stimulating job challenge.

By reading the various notices, we can get the first information of the title: it seems to be an open world of the sci-fi genre, multiplatform and published by epic Games. As for the collaboration with the US developer, it is important to remember what happened on March 26 last year. On the website of the software house founded by Tim Sweeney a press release appeared that formalized the partnership with three different realities: gen DESIGN, developer of The Last Guardian; Remedy Entertainment, developer of the GOTY candidate title Control and, lastly, Playdead, which at the same time announced the development of a new work on its social channels (let's talk about it here).

According to what was communicated by Epic Games itself, this collaboration will allow the software houses complete creative freedom and the intellectual property of their own work, production costs and developers' wages will be fully refunded, profits will be divided by 50%. In short, an extremely advantageous agreement for all parties involved. By the way, if you intend to apply for the various profiles sought for the development of this new title, you can do it here. Sifting through the various announcements, we find some images that tell what the mood of the new effort of the Danish software house will be. A melancholy atmosphere, gloomy and that goes perfectly with essential settings that we can't wait to try.
