Today 23 February, a new one has opened kickstarter, more specifically it is Orconomics 2nd edition. The famous board game of Ares Games released in 2018 it looks like it will enjoy new life. The initial goal is to achieve 10.000$, with a single pledge of 49$, a dead line al 12 March, and a release date for the game around December 2021. Currently only two languages are available: English and French. This new version will improve the gaming experience by implementing the quest system which will add a new win condition, new influence cards, new sector skills and a completely new startup mechanic.
For those not familiar with it Orconomics is a board game, from 2 to 5 people, in which you are catapulted into the chaotic economic world of modern ogres. Players will have to compete to be able to create companies in different sectors, and only who will be able to establish their own company in 10 work areas several will win. Each sector will generate income and losses, and will grant unique abilities that you can use during the game. In addition to this there are also the business quests of Greed, Rage e Dare that if completed will help the player to get closer and closer to their victory.
As mentioned before there is only one single pledge purchasable in the kickstarter of Orconomics 2nd edition, of the value of 49$. This will guarantee you an exclusive copy of thepremium edition of the box. This will contain, in addition to the game plan, also 50 token of company, 40 carte industry, 16 carte quest, 80 token skull (of which 30 gold and 50 silver), 5 carte player, 2 dice forecast e 3 unique tokens: crisis, activity e oracle. The premium version will also consist of 50 miniatures depicting the palaces of the orc guilds, in five different colors, one for each player. Finally we want to point out that in the kickstarter there are more "secondary" objectives that if reached will allow you to unlock new features for the game: for example if 1000 followers are reached on Facebook the mini-expansion will be unlocked "Technorcracy", with attached rules, 2 dice and a plate.
