But many forget that the company of Mark Zuckerberg has acquired over the years many other companies such as WhatsApp e Instagram to broaden its field of influence. In addition to these services, however, it is necessary to take into account the investments aimed at its gaming branch which, in addition to having released an ad-hoc platform, can also count on the resources deriving from the division Facebook Reality Labs, to which all the activities related to Oculus and projects related to reality sia virtual and increased. On the occasion of the event Facebook Connect that will be held next September 16th, the company should present a new headset for virtual reality which, according to what has been leaked in the last few hours, should be theEye Quest 2.
Indeed, in the portal Facebook blueprint a trailer (also reported in the tweet of Jean-Yves Gonin present at the bottom of the article) which shows just the new VR device, whose arrival would have already been anticipated a few days ago. Heir to the Oculus Quest, the new headset will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 CPU, 6 gigabyte di RAM e 3D audio. Will offer one 2K resolution for single eye and, in one of the configurations, also 256 gigabytes of storage memory thanks to which it will be possible to install games and other specially designed multimedia contents.
It would also seem compatibility also confirmed Oculus Quest 2 with games made for the first model. Unfortunately, at present it is not known the price, the complete technical data sheet and the release date of the viewer even if, according to other rumors, it could be marketed immediately after the Facebook Connect.
