Octopath Traveler - Guide on how to unlock the secret dungeon

Octopath Traveler is a title full of mysteries and surprises. The Nintendo exclusive has certainly caused a sensation, for this reason many fans have the need and the need to find out everything about the game. After having told you about the work in our review and how to get the four advanced classes, today we want to tell you about how to unlock the secret dungeon.

Let's start by saying that it will be possible to unlock it only once the adventure is completed, for this reason we would like to clarify that this guide will contain spoilers regarding the post game, before reading it make sure you have completed the main quest. The dungeon is packed with bosses and powerful enemies, but it will give you the opportunity to further explore the mammoth narrative of Octopath Traveler.

Eight stories, eight adventures to complete

When we told you at the beginning to finish the main story, we mean that of all eight characters. It may take a long time, but at least you will be ready for the threats that await you.

Complete the Lyblac mission

The second request is to complete Lyblac's quest. First head to Bolderfall and reach Ravus' Manor. Inside this place you will find a guard called Alphas and, once defeated with Olberic, you will already complete a part of the mission. As a second commission you will have to go to Saintbridge: for the second time you will find Alphas, seated and very depressed. Make use of Cyrus' abilities this time to better understand what he's doing. The boy is intent on writing a love letter, take it and bring it to a woman named Flora. The latter is located in the Saintbridge Cathedral, give him the letter and you will have completed another important step towards the dungeon.

Complete Kit's mission

There is a second quest to complete, namely Kit. This is one of the first NPCs you will encounter in the game immediately after leaving the first city, regardless of the character you chose at the beginning. The man's request is simple, he will ask you to give him curative grapes, give it to him and the games will be almost over. Unfortunately, however, you are not completely finished: find him again in Noblecourt and, once you enter the city, look for a character called Aspiring Actor. Ophilia or Primrose will be essential to transport this NPC and bring it to Kit. Once this is done you will have completed the second phase of the quest.

Once you have completed what has been said so far, it is time to go to Grandport and track down a merchant who promises gems and rare items to buyers, this is located at the exit of the inn. Use Therion to steal the Lapis Lazuli from the merchant and bring it back to Kit who has since moved to Moostruck Coast. Once this is done, go to West S'warki Trail and find the Impresario. Then you will find yourself facing a mini boss and, once the battle is over and won, you will finally unlock the final dungeon: the Hornburg Ruins.

 

Here's how to unlock the coveted secret dungeon. It seems obvious to us to tell you that in this mysterious place you will find really powerful enemies, able to make me go through really bad times. Prepare yourself well, both in terms of leveling and equipping the characters, as well as for a bag full of healing items.
