No Straight Roads: game release date announced

For independent studios nowadays it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd and create something new and original. The Malaysian developer Metronomik together with the study of Sold Out they are just doing this with No Straight Roads, a one-of-a-kind dynamic musical-themed adventure that will therefore be distributed by June 30 2020 for Playstation 4 and PC, through the Epic Store. Simultaneously with the release date announcement, the Collector's Edition which will include an LP with some songs taken directly from the game's soundtrack, a 64-page artbook “The Art of NSR” and a set of No Straight Roads drumsticks. The preorder for the PS4 version of the Collector's Edition is already available.

It is an action-adventure title that brings together the struggles and the musical sound to an unusual setting. "Music is power!" Together with the 2 heroes Mayday and Zuke, part of the same indie rock band, we will have to fight an evil empire and unleash a musical revolution to regain control of Vinyl City.

In the fights, the sounds, the rhythm and the music will be very useful to understand what is the right moment to move, attack and dodge. Wearing a pair of headphones will certainly be more immersive! As for the colonna sonora instead, it appears the team is doing a great job with artists James Landino, Andy Tunstall, Funk Fiction, Masahiro “Godspeed” Aoki, Az Samad and Clyde, led by music director Falk Au Yeong.
