Nintendo has made public the sales figures of its console Nintendo Switch concerning the last 4 months just passed. Thanks also to Christmas holidays the hybrid of the big N has sold more than 11 million units, thus breaking a new record. Given the great results of the last period, the Japanese company has decided to raise its sales forecasts again by the end of the fiscal year, which falls on March 31, to 26,5 million copies sold. An optimistic view from Nintendo, but given the continued successes of the small handheld console it shouldn't be so impossible.
Nintendo Switch, with its 80 million of total copies sold, it surpassed sales by even Nintendo 3DS that after ceasing production they stopped at 75,94 million of units. Also in terms of software, the hybrid console has amazed during the last quarter of the year with almost 76 million copies sold worldwide. The games that have sold the most in total so far are Animal Crossing e Mario Kart Deluxe that exceed i 30 million of copies sold, followed by Pokémon Sword / Shield e The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild who have reached the milestone of 20 million of copies sold. Dizzying numbers for the small console, which can only increase given the important titles arriving in the coming months.
Among the most anticipated releases of this period we cannot fail to mention Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, title originally released on Nintendo WiiU and coming to Nintendo Switch on February 13 2021 with Unreleased DLC centered on villain Bowser. Another long-awaited game coming exclusively to the hybrid is Monster hunter rise, new title of the saga Capcom on the monster hunters who will land the March 26. These are just a few of the many titles coming to Nintendo Switch soon. The console now boasts a very numerous exclusive title park thanks to its historical IPs but also to third-party developers who have believed in the small but large Nintendo portable console.
