Fans of Nintendo will finally be able to enjoy this new implementation which, unfortunately, had never been considered within theeShop di Nintendo Switch. Just today the big N has updated in the FAQ the possibility of requesting a refund of a previously pre-ordered title and that, for whatever reason, we have chosen to cancel it. Obviously there are rules to follow which we show you now in detail.
It may have happened to you at least once in your life that you have pre-ordered a game perhaps of your favorite saga and that, for some strange reason or perhaps because of the low reviews received, you would have preferred to cancel and get your money back. Nintendo did not allow this until today. In fact, starting now, you will have time up to seven days before the release date in order to request and obtain a refund of the game. For example, if on the 20th of the month the title you were anxiously waiting for your Nintendo Switch comes out but you have changed your mind about buying it on "Day One", you will have until the 13th of the same month to cancel the order and request and get what you paid. If, on the other hand, the pre-order is made in the last seven days prior to the release of the title, for example on the 15th of the same month, unfortunately it will not be possible to make any requests as there is not the time required by Nintendo. In fact, in Japan, this new service is available immediately. Not only the country of origin of course, but also in the United States and Europe, starting today it will be possible to book and possibly cancel a pre-order as long as you respect the deadlines imposed by Nintendo eShop.
Thanks to this move, the company aligns itself with many other digital stores that have been implementing policies of this kind for some time. There are even those who allow you to request a refund even after trying the title that perhaps turned out to be not in line with your tastes. Considering the current market trend increasingly projected towards the digital market rather than the physical one, Nintendo's new policy can only make all the lucky owners of the hybrid console happy.
