Nintendo Switch: according to Furukawa, sales will exceed those of Wii

the success of Nintendo Switch does not show signs of stopping. To date, the hybrid of the big N has almost reached altitude 80 million of units sold, exceeding Nintendo 3DS. President Shuntaro Furukawa however, he is still not satisfied and he is more than sure that in the next few years the console will be able to aim to surpass the company's sales record held by Nintendo Wii. The console released in 2006 in fact achieved the sensational result of 101 million of units sold in its 7 year life span. The numbers are from Switch since in less than 4 years the hybrid released in 2017 is already quite close to the 100 million threshold.

Furukawa argues that the credit is to be assigned to the exclusives of Nintendo switch, citing for example Animal Crossing: New Horizon, which in less than a year has sold over 30 million copies. Of course, the president of Nintendo also mentioned other titles that he thinks have contributed to the success of the console, such as the Super Mario game series, Pokémon Sword & Shield e Ring Fit Adventure. The speech is clear, therefore, Nintendo will always aim to offer its users exclusive and original products, as long as it also reduces the number of productions for the benefit of higher quality.

Nintendo Switch has many titles awaiting release scheduled for the next few months. The upcoming launch of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury is one of them. The revival of the iconic plumber's adventure, originally released on WiiU in 2013, promises to offer the player a long-lived and challenging adventure, plus the exclusive DLC dedicated to the number one villain of the series, Bowser. Another title awaited by many is Monster hunter rise, the new chapter of the Capcom series exclusively released on the hybrid of Nintendo. The game will catapult the player into frantic battles, in single player or cooperative, against dozens of different monsters, offering a layered tactical combat system that has always characterized the long-running Japanese series.
