As noted by a user on Reddit really very scrupulous, Nintendo has very recently Direct Archive website updated, indicating that it could be a new Nintendo Direct is coming. Broadcasting a live broadcast of the big N in January is a pretty established habit, but we can't say with certainty that it will also happen this month. However, this recent Nintendo archive update, dated Tuesday 5th January, gives us hope. It is not the first time that the community pays attention to this event: very often, in fact, this action was followed in a short time by the transmission of a new Nintendo Direct. This, for example, happened in both September and October 2020, with the two months that later saw the announcement of a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.
The October mini broadcast had focused on Immortal: Fenyx Rising, Bravely Default II, Control, No More Heroes and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. In September last year, however, Nintendo had broadcast the event to present Super Mario 35th Anniversary, announcing the much rumored Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection together with Mario Kart Live e Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury . The most recent general episode of the full Nintendo Direct aired in September 2019. At the time, the focus was on Pokémon Sword and Shield Pokémon together with Luigi's Mansion 3 e Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. This would therefore mark the return of a Nintendo Direct, one year after the last major presentation event for the titles of the Kyoto house.
At the moment, it should be specified, it is mere speculation and therefore it is necessary to wait for any communications from Kyoto. We just have to wait a few more days to find out if Nintendo will debut in this 2021 with new exclusives, or with the much rumored Nintendo Switch Pro, which should stand up to the new generation of consoles launched by Microsoft products e Sony.
