Nine to Five - Redhill Games Tactical Shooter Preview

During The Game Awards 2019, Redhill Games, studio founded in 2018 from the former CEO of Remedy Entertainment Matias Myllyrinne, surprisingly presented his first game with this new creative team. We are talking about Nine to Five, tactical shooter where we will be involved in clashes between three teams composed respectively of three players against each other. Each match will last three rounds and will present various objectives that will alternate during the match. Each time we complete a round, the next one will vary depending on what happened in the previous one. It will therefore be necessary to adapt continuously in order not to be overwhelmed by enemies.

Trailer analysis

There is very little to say about the trailer, given its short duration and the little material shown. The curiosity of the trailer is that initially it focuses not on the title itself, but on a fictional videogame starring the rabbits armed with rifles. This obviously left all the insiders perplexed, but before the conclusion of the trailer it was revealed that what was shown was nothing more than a "joke". In fact, we see a mercenary shooting at the monitor that had up to that moment transmitted the images of the curious rabbits to then proceed on his own mission. From what has been revealed so far, the game is set in an unspecified future where the corporations rule everything and use mercenaries to resolve some thorny negotiations.

The statements of Matias Myllyrinne

The founder of the studio Redhill Games Matias Myllyrinne, regarding this new creature of his, said:

A lot of today's FPSs are often too chaotic and random and having a really hard time playing. With Nine to Five we are challenging players with new creative mechanics to revive that classic feeling of playing with friends, finding your role and working together to defeat opponents.

Nine to Five therefore aims to offer gamers a different experience than what other more adrenaline-pumping shooters offer, perhaps giving users even more tactics and teamwork than what is seen with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.

In addition to what has been said so far, unfortunately no other details have been released. What we do know is that this shooter aims to be an alternative for all those looking for a less hectic but much more reasoned experience. To get more details on this, we just have to wait for news from the development team. The game doesn't currently have a release date, but we know that the alpha is expected to start in 2020.
