NetherRealm working on other projects besides Mortal Kombat and Injustice?

It would seem that NetherRealm Studios, creators of Mortal Kombat and Injustice, is working on something different from the two iconic franchises that made the US development team famous. During a recent interview with the microphones of Geoff keighley, ahead of the launch of the DLC of Mortal kombat 11: aftermath, the creative director of the software house, Ed Boon, claimed that NetherRealm has "other things in the oven". We report his words in detail:

It's a bit like Mortal Kombat has become the benchmark for this kind of games, a bit like Marvel. You don't expect the MCU to end, as the movies will keep coming out. Even though we've been able to add several new features, we know how to make video games, like Injustice, and we have other things in the oven, […] it's always fun to work on Mortal Kombat. Especially when the players appreciate your work.

If you'd told me this was going to be our best-selling Mortal Kombat title so far, 20 years later, you know, I wouldn't have believed it. So, the fact that they are having all this success is really cool.

We remind you that the latest expansion of Mortal Kombat 11, Aftermath, is already available for all owners of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. If you want to know more about the latest effort of NetherRealm, you can consult ours at the following link review.
