From what has emerged it seems that the next project of Nertherrealm Studios is not a sequel to Injustice, nor a game of the Mortal Kombat series. However it should be a Marvel licensed fighting game called Marvel's Age of Infinity.
Unfortunately, the information shared was limited, but it has been said that the style will be very similar to the previous titles of NetherRealm Studios, but with a particular focus on tags and team fights.
The game will also have Loki in the form of a pre-order bonus. The story will revolve around the Doctor Doom, who will try to get all the Infinity Stones to create a better world. By mistake, however, he will accidentally fracture the universe, giving rise to a sort of dark parallel world I call Dread World. In this scenario, most of the heroes are dead, while those left alive have become villains.
According to rumors Age of Infinity was to be revealed at E3 of this year, but given the cancellation of the fair it is not yet known when it will be shown.
