The long-awaited remake of one of the most famous Disney classics of all time, that is Mulan, who years ago was able to conquer millions and millions of spectators, is now missing. Well, thanks to a new TV commercial called “Impossible”, we now have the opportunity to discover some more information about the film. Analyzing the spot, in fact, we can hear the protagonist's father praying to the gods not to allow her to be discovered by the army and later we see Mulan herself meditating on an impossible journey that she will have to undertake to protect her family.
The work of director Niki Caro sees Yifei Liu - in the role of Mulan - being joined by several important names who will make up an exceptional cast, such as Donnie Yen and Jet Li, in a film that varies a lot from the original fable focusing more on a no-frills Live Action with choices that have made many fans turn up their noses, such as the absence of Mushu the dragon and moments sung in classic Disneynian style, but which could bring together a more varied audience that could then go back to the original work. Will the work be able to affirm the role that remakes are having on both old and new generations? We just have to wait these last few days to find out.
