Choosing your video card has always been one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to building a PC. And here comes the new one on the market MSI GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X, a mid-range gem that redefines this concept, promising more than satisfactory performance.
Packaging
The video card box is medium in size, giving due importance to both aesthetics and the more practical function of coating and protection of the product. Once the box is opened we are greeted by a envelope of MSI containing a small comic, the manual and the cd of the drivers. The inner lining is soft and at the same time reinforced to avoid unpleasant tossing, and also includes a cover at the top. Finally we find ourselves discarding the MSI GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X, lined with a last protective plastic bag.
Design
Massive and aggressive, this video card features two fans TorX 3.0, and more precisely it is the cooling system Twin Frozr 7. Performance
The performance of the card is excellent, nothing to say about that. After the tests carried out with latest production titles, the GTX 1660 manages to keep up without problems even by running them at maximum quality, making it perfect for most of the genres currently in vogue. Clearly, in some cases, it will be necessary to sacrifice a few fps for a better screen rendering. With this balance, we can attest that with the MSI GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X we are faced with one of the best proposals ever as regards the mid-range.
Price
As always happens, the price of these gems fluctuates depending on the retailer. On Amazon the card is currently offered at € 397,00, but it is possible, looking around, to run into even more advantageous prices, which can even reach € 340,00. Onerous only up to a certain point, it goes without saying that the value for money of the GTX 1660, providing valid performance combined with very little noise and the low risk of overheating, is certainly excellent for this 2019.
