As we all know, the car around the project of the Mortal Kombat cinematic reboot has officially started, with the first stages of pre-production and the first names of the casting. Curiosity is therefore a must and in the last few hours a news is reported according to which the screenwriter of the film, Greg Russo, has answered a question about the setting of the film. Given that we are talking about a subject taken from a videogame source and with the last chapters of the franchise that have a strong narrative imprint as cinematic, it would not be impossible to imagine how movies and video games can share the same narrative universe.
The screenwriter admits he talked about it with NetherRealm and to have absolutely not discarded this possibility, since both are working on a great brand in common, which is why there will most likely be direct references or shared elements between the two different mediums.
