Mortal Kombat 9 is one of those games that never ceases to offer unlockables, secrets and easter eggs. We have collected in this article all those known so far, but it is safe to bet that we will have to update it soon.

Secret battles and fighters in Skalata Arcade

Alternative costumes and colors
You were probably already familiar with the costumes, but did you know that it is also possible to choose alternative colors for the costumes? Follow the dedicated guide.

Alternative classical music
In the challenge mode (2 players) in some arenas it is possible to have classical music taken from previous Mortal Kombats as the background. To do this you have to confirm the arena using the Start button. If classical music is available for that arena, you will hear the evil laugh of Shao Khan. The arenas where alternative music is available are as follows:

Roof (day and sunrise)
The pit
The living forest
The Kolosseum of Khan
The cemetery
Tana di Goro
The deadly pool
The courtyard
Armeria
Wastelands
Monastery of Evil
The temple
Subway
Shang Tsung's throne room
La strada
Hall of Souls

Fighting against Goro
In the arcade skala it is possible to find the terrible Goro instead of Kintaro. To do this, after selecting the character, when confirming the difficulty, do it by holding down the Back button (Select on PS3), then, in summary, when choosing the difficulty:

• hold Back (Select on PS3)
• simultaneously press A (X on PS3) to confirm the game difficulty

 

The creature hidden in the Krypt
It seems that an unknown creature is hidden in the Krypt. To try to see it with your own eyes, you must enter the Kripta and remain completely still without doing anything.
