Mortal Kombat 11: the Kombat League is coming

Through the official Twitter account of Mortal Kombat 11, the software house NetherRealm Studios has announced that a new competitive ranked mode will be available via download today, which will be called Kombat League.

The aforementioned seasonal mode will allow players in possession of the title to compete online with other fighters to obtain exclusive in-game rewards and an increasingly higher rank by conquering as many victories as possible. Ranked Play will be available for a limited period of four weeks. Progress within the Kombat League will allow users to obtain numerous rewards such as exclusive decorative items.

Once the season is over, the next one will start immediately with new prizes and new rewards to win. NehterRealm also ensures that every match will guarantee a balanced challenge level by challenging players with the same skill level.

Here is how the official statement reads:

In the Kombat League, players compete in ranked matches over a 4-week season to progress and move up the leaderboard of 9 skill levels, starting from the Apprentice rank to the Elder God level. Players will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items for each level achieved. Rewards are cumulative, so players have the option to unlock all rewards of the season. It will also be possible to obtain in-game items by facing daily and weekly challenges.
