Monster Hunter: new chapter for Switch in the works?

Monster Hunter: new chapter for Switch in the works?

For the moment, we know that the only title in the series Monster Hunter available on the Nintendo Switch is Generations Ultimate, known in the East as Double Cross. However, a recent claim by Capcom ignites hopes for another game coming to the hybrid console. In a recent meeting with investors, the company answered some questions regarding the saga. One of them asked if there is a possibility of seeing Monster Hunter World on Switch in the future, but the answer in this case was negative. A second question referred instead to the possibility that a title of the series intended in particular for younger people, such as the portable chapters for PSP, is in the works. As you can read from the tweet at the bottom of the news, Capcom stated that there are indeed plans for the development of such a game.

Someone posted some of the Capcom IR meeting questions and answers on their blog apparently:

Q: Monster Hunter World on Switch?

    A: No plan.

Q: Any MH games intended for teenagers, like when it was on PSP?

A: Yes, we have development plans for such an HD game.

It is therefore possible that the Japanese company refers to a new episode of the series for portable consoles. However, this is quite vague information at the moment, so we will have to wait for official details to be able to confirm everything.

Someone published some of the Q&A from the Capcom IR meeting on their blog apparently:
    Q: MHW on Switch?
    A: No plans.
Q: Any MH game targeted to middle-high school kids, like when it was on the PSP?
A: Yes, we have dev plans for a MH game like that
