Microsoft: on Reddit the rumor of the purchase of Konami IPs

In recent days, rumors have circulated about the possible acquisition by Sony of many proprietary IPs of Konami, rumors that today seem not only to be denied again, but even bounced from one bank to the other. According to the latest rumors circulated on Reddit and then shared by the insider Idle Sloth, it seems that Microsoft products has already bought the entire Konami catalog in bulk: Castlevania, Silenti Hill, Metal Gear and all the remaining video games of the company.

Here is the post published a few days before and relaunched in the last few hours by some insiders:

“Microsoft will acquire the entire Konami catalog shortly; this type of agreement required a high economic outlay from the company. The amount raised by Konami will be used to build a new facility dedicated to the production, development and research of new arcade and gambling machines. Furthermore, it seems that according to this agreement Microsoft will have to continue to pay royalties to Konami on all possible remastered productions, while it will have total economic autonomy on the profits of the games developed from scratch. Microsoft will finally be able to create a team with former Konami employees who could be fired after the sale of the IPs and found a new software house that will take the place of Xbox Games Studios Tokyo "

Obviously everything that is written still remains in the rumor bubble given the latest movements also by Sony for the acquisition of Konami. We look forward to discovering the evolution of the situation.
