Marvel: Kevin Feige confirms the introduction of Nova in the MCU

Although the director of the two films dedicated to Guardiani della galassia, or James Gunn, never expressed much interest in the character of Nova, we have long known that there are plans for this character for the future of the cinematic universe The Marvel movies. What these plans consist of remains to be seen, but during a recent interview with ComicBook the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige shared a very interesting update relating to this topic. Asked if fans will ever see in the future Richard Rider and / or Sam Alexander (two of Nova's character identities in the comics) in a movie or other project of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige answered "yes" to both questions, then added:

Timing is relative, right? I think I talked about Doctor Strange eight years before the movie came out. Hence, the 'immediate potential' is relative. But clearly we will not stray from the cosmic aspects of the narrative typical of the Nova character.

Some speculation sees a plot starring the aforementioned Richard and Sam, with the former training the latter after the destruction of the Nova Corps su Xandar by Thanos, as revealed at the beginning of Avengers: Endgame. We repeat that this is only speculation and that, in all likelihood, we will not have other news related to the character for a long time since the calendar of the Phase 4 (recently started with the expected series Disney + WandaVision after over a year without MCU products) is full of projects that will keep us busy for at least the next four years (Covid permitting, as regards films destined for cinemas). In one of the upcoming projects, however, the character may already be introduced, specifically in the film Captain Marvel 2 or in the series Secret Invasion, without excluding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
