That last June 11 was an important event and followed all over the world is certainly not a secret. Everyone expected to see the true design of PS5, but above all to see new trailers and new titles dedicated to her. During the long live it was also presented Little Devil Inside, currently at the center of some criticism related to racism.
For the uninitiated, Little devil inside is an independent project initially funded through the platform Kickstarter and that now can also count on the support of Sony. Unfortunately, after the release of the trailer, many users accused him of racism, because some characters presented during the live, according to "some" were represented with a "racist key".
The video was shown all over the world and I think it is really difficult for independent producers to want to offer the world a product with a "racist key", but these are just opinions. However, the developers have apologized to the part of users who have felt offended, and have announced that they want to change the aspects under accusation:
“We want to apologize to all the people who felt offended by the character design, we didn't want to highlight any racist stereotype. Our intent was to create almost mystical characters in Little Devil Inside, without referring to real African or African American tribes. We aimed at the creation of colored masks, with our character designers who then moved towards objects belonging to various cultures, adding personality to the design. Regardless of our goals, if anyone has felt offended we apologize. We have decided to make the following changes to the Little Devil Inside characters, but in case we could also change them completely. For now we will remove the dreadlocks, change the lips, change the skin color and even their dart shooter, so that you don't remember a joint. This is our first title and at the moment we are still quite unprepared in many ways. We thank you for your support. "
