Kena: Bridge of Spirits, new details from a developer interview

An interesting interview with the developers of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the interesting independent title announced during the presentation of PlayStation 5. During the video, which you find as always at the head of the news, Josh and Mike Grier of Ember Lab they told the game trailer in more detail and explained some aspects regarding the narrative context, the character, the combat system and other gameplay mechanics.

The protagonist is one spirit guide who, arriving in an abandoned village, discovers that many spirits are trapped by the corruption that has spread throughout that land. Kena's goal will therefore be to help them, and to do so, the use of her magic stick will be essential, as important in the story as in the gameplay. It can be used for close-range attacks, can convert into a bow, and can also act as a shield to protect against enemy offensives. The developers then shift their attention to the importance ofscouting, which goes well with immersive settings such as those present in the title. It is also important for tracking down Red, creatures to "collect" during the adventure that will help the protagonist in various ways. One of these is the transport of objects to a point we decide, as can also be seen from the trailer. Kena: Bridge of Spirits will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC at the end of 2020.
