    James Gunn and Joss Whedon respond to Scorsese's comment on Marvel movies

    As we informed you in our previous article, during an interview Martin Scorsese he heavily criticized the films The Marvel movies, declaring that, according to him, "they are not cinema". Obviously the news went around the web in a very short time, reaching the ears of the two most famous Marvel directors, James Gunn e Joss Whedon. The two certainly didn't take it well, and responded decisively to Scorsese's comments. In Gunn's Twitter post, we can read:

    Martin Scorsese is one of my 5 favorite filmmakers. I was outraged when people staked The Last Temptation of Christ without seeing the movie. I am saddened that you now rate my films the same way. That said, I will always love Scorsese, I will be grateful for his contribution to cinema and I can't wait to see The Irishman.

    Whedon then re-shared the colleague's tweet, adding:
