In the last few hours, all fans of the videogame sector are eagerly awaiting the PlayStation 5 Showcase scheduled for tonight, September 16. Among the many rumors and rumors that are happening in recent days, the one concerning a possible announcement of Final Fantasy 16, which apparently couldn't be that far from reality. A few hours ago, in fact, the General Manager of Community & Service Division of Square Enix, Toshio Murouchi, he urged all Japanese fans on Twitter to go to bed early so he could follow the Sony live broadcast at 5:00 in the morning, which with the time zone would be 22:00.
With this tweet the rumors of a possible announcement of Final Fantasy 16 have been fueled even more, and it is practically confirmed that Square Enix will be present in some way during the event today dedicated to PlayStation 5. Obviously all fans of the classic series of Japanese-style turn-based role-playing games are craving a new main title, but it could also be that tonight the Japanese house intends to show some other title that it has in the pipeline at the moment. In addition to an unlikely but not impossible teaser of the second part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, one of the many projects could very well be the mysterious Project athia, developed by the guys from Luminous Productions and shown for the first time during the PlayStation 5 reveal event, capturing the attention of many fans who can't wait to have much more news about it.
"You should go to bed earlier tonight, to get up early in the morning ..." was the message left by Toshio Murouchi of Square Enix for the Japanese audience, but luckily we will not have to worry about sleep, since the PlayStation 5 Showcase will air tonight at 22:00 local, and we will finally find out what the Japanese publisher will have in store for us.
