In the past few hours a very curious fact has surfaced on the net: it would seem that Id Software - the same creators as DOOM - are currently getting their hands on a new title, in particular by exploiting the technology of reality virtual. If so, the release would still be expected in the near future, or at least the hypotheses speak of a release by 2021. This was communicated to us by the Australian classification body, which has precisely reported an unexpected registration by id Software and Bethesda regarding a new mysterious work, with a code name Project 2021A. Although it is a project we know absolutely nothing about, the name we currently have in our hands suggests the launch window!
The VR title in question would have been recorded just yesterday, Friday January 22 2021, and apparently it has been cataloged as a "computer game" to belong to the range of R18 + in Australia's classification system and for virtual reality. Although we do not know practically anything about this game yet, we do know that it will be a VR product since in the “media type” section there is the wording “Virtual Reality“. On top of that, the page states that the game will have a strong impact on violence e interactivity online courses, leaving the hypothesis of the presence of one strong multiplayer component.
That said, the truth is we don't know if it's a test action by the two companies, or a real game. Be that as it may, in the past few hours, multiple community speculations have surfaced on the net, which speak of a new game with a plot written from scratch or, even more plausibly, of the virtual reality version of the latest game in the DOOM franchise, the shooter in first person DOOM Eternal.
