Hyper Scape: The game did not meet Ubisoft's expectations

On the official blog of UbisoftDedicated to Hyper scape, a long post was published by the company explaining the reasons why the title was unable to comply with the standards set by developers (despite the considerable success at the time of launch). In the lines published on the blog, it would seem that the free-to-play battle royale was not able to meet the great expectations set by the team regarding the full version on console. It has also been stated that, before reaching its full potential, Hyper Scape requires a considerable additional work, in order to make the videogame experience “intriguing and engaging”.

While the July launch and PC Open Beta were successful, we weren't able to meet the high expectations we set for our full console release that followed in August. We also know that we have not fully met the high expectations of our players, so we are taking action. We still have a lot of work to do to get there, but our team is fully committed to the challenge.

The additional work required by the battle royale was basically collected and structured in 5 pillars, present on the blog, linked to technical aspects and game mechanics in order to create a title that "everyone can play and have fun". These points are: comfort in combat, , game mode, player goals e cross play. In order to work better on these aspects, the developer team is going to be structured in cells, the same structure used for the development team dedicated to Rainbow Six: Siege. The goal is to direct the individual cells in a single "direction" by focusing the developers and increasing their efficiency. Finally we remind you that it was announced the date of season 2 coming to Hyper Scape with all the main news.
