    First, turn off the phone completely.

    • Then, hold the button down at the same time Volume down + Home + Power for older Galaxy devices.

    How to update Samsung Galaxy using Odin

    1. Download the Samsung firmware (* .zip) for your device.
    2. Extract the downloaded firmware ZIP file to an easily accessible location on your PC.
    3. The extracted firmware files must be in the ".tar" or ". Tar.md5".
    4. Extract Odin ZIP (e.g. Odin3_v3.13.1.zip) to an easily accessible location on your PC.
    5. Open the extracted folder (eg Odin3 v3.13.1) and double click on the file " Odin3.exe ".
    6. Connect the Samsung Galaxy device to the PC while it is in download mode.
    7. The COM port should light up in Odin.
    8. Click the “AP” button and select the firmware file starting with AP.
    9. Do the same for “BL”, “CP” and “CSC”.
    10. Note that the normal CSC file will completely wipe the device. To keep the data, simply select the 'HOME_CSC' file.
    11. Make sure that "Auto Reboot" and "F.Reset Time" are selected in the "Options" tab. Leave everything else as it is.
    12. When everything is ready, click the “Start” button to install the Samsung stock firmware on your Galaxy device.
    13. The update / installation process on your Samsung Galaxy will take a few minutes to complete.
    14. When finished, you will see the message "PASS!" and the device will restart automatically.

    After that, you can disconnect the phone and close the Odin window. Once your Samsung Galaxy starts up, perform the initial setup by following the on-screen instructions.


    How to update Samsung Galaxy with Android 10 / Android Pie

    1. Open the Settings from the app menu or from the main screen.
    2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
