In fact, in this guide of mine, I will illustrate you how to take a video screenshot through the integrated features on Windows PCs and Macs. In addition, I will explain how to use your Android or iOS smartphone to capture a video of the screen, without having to install any app. If you still want to download and install third-party solutions, I will recommend some useful tools to achieve your goal, among the best available on the market.

if devi fare one screenshot video on a PC equipped with Windows 10, you can use a feature built into the operating system called Game bar: this tool allows you to record the screen of the software that is running on your PC. The requirement for this feature to be exploited is that a video card with encoding support is present in the computer Intel QuickSync H.264, NVidia NVENC o AMD VCE.
To use the Game bar of Windows 10, press the key combination Win+I or click on theicon with l'ingranaggio that you find in the menu Home, to open the screen of Settings of Windows. Now, select the items Toys > Game bar and locate the voice Record game clicks, screenshots and broadcast using Game Bar. Then move the stick from OFF a ON in correspondence with the latter wording, so as to activate the function.
At this point, you simply have to start a video game or any other software installed on your computer and press the key combination Win+G. By doing so, you will be shown the panel of the Game bar, on which there is the record button, which is useful for starting the capture of a video screenshot.
In the event that this feature cannot be activated on your PC or you are using a version of Windows prior to 10, you can rely on some software used to capture video screenshots of the desktop. In this regard, I suggest you read my guide on programs to record the desktop.

In the next chapters, I will recommend you to use Screenshot, present since version 10.14 of macOS (Mojave), And QuickTime Player, which allows you to take video screenshots of your Mac with any version of macOS.

The feature is present on newer versions of macOS (10.14 and later). Screenshot, which has the purpose of taking video screenshots of the Mac screen. Activating this feature is really simple: all you have to do is press the key combination cmd+shift+5 and its panel will appear in the lower area of the screen.
Once this is done, press the button Record the entire screen, to capture the entire Mac screen, or click Record your selection, if you want to limit the recording to only a portion of the screen. At this point, press the key Register or click on the screen to start recording.
To stop screen capture, press the icon Stop, located at the top right of the menu bar. The captured video will be previewed to you in the lower right corner of the screen, and by clicking on it, you will be able to play it.
QuickTime Player
As I already told you in the introduction, the famous playback software, QuickTime Player, present in all versions of macOS, also allows you to take video screenshots of your computer screen.
To record screen with QuickTime Player, launch the program via its icon present in the Launchpad and then click on the items Fillet > New screen recording, in the top menu bar. On the screen that appears to you, press theregistration icon and then click on the screen, to record the entire area, or drag the mouse to create a selection rectangle and thus acquire only a portion of it.
If you want to stop recording, click the button Stop found in the menu bar. To save the file, then you just select the items Fillet > Export as from the top menu and choose the output resolution you prefer. At this point, indicate the folder where to save the video and press the button Save.

How to take a video screenshot on android
Smartphones and tablets equipped with the operating system Android, usually come with a built-in feature for taking video screenshots, which I'll tell you about shortly. However, if your device is not equipped with this tool, later in the guide I will recommend some third-party solutions that can certainly be right for you.
Android built-in functionality
It is your smartphone or tablet Android comes with a screen recording feature, you can take action easily without the need to install third-party apps. An example is smartphones Huawei, with which you can take a video screenshot using the tool Record screen.
To activate this feature, use the key combination Volume Up + Shutdown or tap on the appropriate icon in the Notification Center of android. This will start a countdown, after which the recording will start. At this stage, you can use your smartphone to record all the activities you want to show in the video.
To stop recording, tap the button Stop, located at the top. By doing so, the video will be automatically saved in the device's media gallery, in the section Screen recordings.

If your Android smartphone or tablet does not have a native video capture function, you can rely on third-party apps such as ADV Screen Recorder, which is available for free on the Play Store. This app is mainly supported by banner ads, but you can remove them by upgrading the version Pro, which costs 1,82 euros.
If you want to install ADV Screen Recorder, reach the link I provided and then press on the keys Install e apri. After launching the app, press the button Accept and then OK, by accepting you can all the requests that are shown to you on the screen, to allow you to access all the device features.
After reaching the main screen of ADV Screen Recorder, press theshutter icon and, in the new section that appears to you, move the lever from OFF a ON to grant the app overlay permissions.
Once this is done, go back to the main screen of the app and press onshutter icon, allowing access to the features of the device. Now you will be shown a screen, in which you will have to press the item Start now, to minimize the overlay app (thecamera icon). Press on the latter and, among the options that are shown to you, select the one with theregistration icon.
If you have correctly performed the procedure I have indicated, the screen recording will start, which you can stop at any time by tapping on thecamera icon and choosing the option Stop. The video will then be available in the Android photo gallery, in the section Screen recordings, ready to be shared.

Su iPhone e iPad with iOS 11 and later, there is a feature named Registration screen, which allows you to take video screenshots of the device display.
To start a screen recording with this tool, log in to the Control Center of iOS: then swipe from the bottom upwards at the bottom edge of the screen or, if you have an iPhone X or later or an iPad equipped with iOS 12 or later, swipe from down to the upper right corner of the display.
In the screen you are viewing, press onregistration icon, to display a countdown, after which the screen shot will start. In case you want to stop recording, you can simply lock the iPhone or iPad screen, using the appropriate physical side button, or press the red bar at the top of the screen, then pressing on Stop. The video screenshot you just recorded will be accessible through the app Gallery of iOS, in the album Video.
