Hogwarts Legacy has been officially postponed to 2022

Warner BrosIn partnership with Avalanche Software e Portkey Games has officially announced that it has launch postponed of the videogame Hogwarts legacy al 2022. The title was initially slated for release in 2021 (it was announced last September) for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. On September 18, the game was officially announced as PlayStation 5, Sony's next-generation console.

This is the message from the developers in communicating the game's slippage to Harry Potter fans around the world:

We would like to thank fans around the world for the huge reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy by our label Portkey Games. Creating the best possible experience for all Wizarding World and gaming fans is critical to us, so we're giving the game the time it needs.

At the bottom of the news you can admire the official reveal trailer of Hogwarts Legacy, in case you missed it. On October 1st, however, we published one our preview to the magical Avalanche RPG. In mid-September it was instead declared that JK Rowling is not directly involved in the project.

JK Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game, however, her extraordinary amount of writing is the basis of all projects in the Wizarding World. We are not faced with a new story of the author.

Hogwarts Legacy belongs to the genre of RPGs and will be set at the end of 1800 in the magical world of Harry Potter. You will play as a Hogwarts student and the player will be able to choose their home, attend classes at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and explore an open world in an (obviously) fantasy setting, including the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village.
