During the past few hours the developer of Hitman 3, IO Interactive, shared some details about the upcoming game confirming the file size and visual improvements. In a series of gaming forum posts ResetEra, one of the developers working at the team has answered some questions also revealing very curious new information about the game. Initially, speaking of the first 5 minutes of the game (which you can view in our dedicated article) on Hitman 3, the developer wrote: “one thing that I think you will all be happy to hear is that we have managed to significantly reduce the size of the game. All three games with all content will take up around 100GB “.
When asked how the developer managed to achieve this, the man replied: “the biggest wins are due to data management and file structures and how we deliver the game so that we can remove duplicate data. . We also use a newer and better compression for the textures, that helps too ”. This is great news, since the two original Hitman games take up around 125GB on PlayStation 4 e PlayStation 5: the fact that adding a completely new game will not increase the size any further, but will shrink it to less than 100 GB, is noteworthy in itself.
Beyond that, if you own Hitman 1 and 2 and you buy Hitman 3, you will also be able to benefit from improved images as well as reduced file size.
