After being very warmly received by critics, as you can also see through our review, for example, Hitman 3 has also been thoroughly analyzed by the pixel wizards of Digital Foundry, who have thoroughly explored every aspect of the latest chapter of the Agent 47 trilogy produced by IO Interactive. Analyzes were mainly conducted on Xbox Series X / S e PlayStation 5, leaving aside the PC version, and the results were very good for both versions, which all in all turn out to be very similar to each other.
First of all we must immediately realize that all the consoles taken in question they manage to keep 60 frames per second stable for the duration of the adventure, if not for a few Xbox Series X hiccup dropping to 50fps in a certain part of the "Mendoza" mission in Argentina, which is not the case on the Sony front. The real differences can be noted however with regards to the resolution, which presents a Native 4K on the Microsoft home console while it drops a 1080p on PlayStation 5, thus resulting slightly below as regards the purely graphic aspect.
In both consoles the texture correspond to the 'ultra' version present for the PC version of Hitman 3, while the ombre appear more detailed on Xbox Series X than their Sony counterpart. Finally, Digital Foundry is keen to emphasize that even the versions for old-gen consoles have been tested, confirming that on Xbox One X the game runs at a resolution of 1440p and 30fps, while the counterpart on PlayStation 4 Pro manages to keep i Fixed 60fps (a bit like what happens on the current-gen system of the Japanese multinational), at the expense of a resolution of 1080p. According to this information, therefore, the console of the Redmond house seems to get by more on the resolution front, while the console on the Sony front promises a more fixed stability as regards the frames per second.
