Halo Infinite: The game has not been canceled for Xbox One

After the postponement of Halo Infinite, postponed for several months following further "embellishment" works and not only (and let's say even more than justified), day after day there have been several rumors around the title that also concerned the possible cancellation of the game on the current generation console . Such a move could have meant again a really bad communication move for Microsoft products and the division Xbox. Furthermore, new rumors, which even wanted a postponement in the year 2022 and a total redesign of the game almost from scratch, have found a lot of hype in recent days.

To put a patch on it, almost definitively although not official, it was John Junyszek, the community manager for 343 Industries which, through a post on Twitter, he wanted to silence all these useless and unfounded rumors about it. Although his comment does not come from 343 Industries directly or from Microsoft, working in the field of communication his words still have a considerable weight.

We are reading tons of fake leaks every day that emerge everywhere. Don't believe everything you read, please. At the moment there is no type of change inherent to the game, nor a release set for 2022 or a cancellation of the game on the Xbox One console. We are making Halo Infinite in the best possible way, supporting it to be the best chapter in the series and the best game possible on every device it will be developed on.

As you can read from our recent article, the rumors that wanted the cancellation of the game on the current generation console were obviously not founded, however many thought it could be a new communication error from Microsoft. The option to cancel a game of this magnitude after so many years of development seemed a rather risky move. Happy to have been proved wrong, we await official communications from Microsoft.
