Halo Infinite: Ray Tracing will come after the launch of the title

During an interview granted to IGN, Chris Lee, studio head of 343 Industries, confirmed that Halo Infinite will receive a free update immediately after the title's launch to introduce the Ray Tracing to the game. This is also done to actually present the idea to the public 343 Industries to evolve Halo Infinite over time, as the development studio intends to expand the title through the release of some updates that will improve the game and the platform and add content following the advancement of technology over the years. 343 Industries also confirmed that the gameplay video, presented during the highly anticipated Xbox Games Showcase event, was devoid of Ray Tracing therefore we have not yet seen the game in all its potential.

Already previously Phil Spencer, head of the division Xbox di Microsoft products, had talked about the much appreciated technology of the Ray Tracing, which together with the other hardware components decidedly more in step with time than the launch of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will represent a clear generational gap which, according to what was declared by Spencer, will be much more marked than what has been between PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The Ray Tracing will bring significant improvements to the technical apparatus and more specifically in the graphics of the titles planned for the next generation consoles PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X, so it will be interesting to see what improvements it will lead to Halo Infinite, one of the main launch titles of Xbox Series X, the next generation home console Microsoft products arriving by the end of the current year.
