    Fans of Grand Theft Auto they asked Rockstar to remaster San Andreas or Vice City for years. Now, thanks to new mods and with the technology of the ray tracing, fans have finally had the opportunity to enjoy the old titles of the famous saga with a look never seen before. The mods were created by a group of loyal fans and they deliver three classics titles in the series, most notably GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City. the improvement is especially noticeable on theappearance graphic of the games, all released over 10 years ago, with completely different and revisited shadows and reflections. The new ones light effects bring the streets and shops of GTA cities to life with the sun's rays reflecting off car windows. However, it is clear that other aspects of the work, such as the plot and gameplay, remain precisely unchanged compared to the time.



    For the uninitiated, ray tracing is a rendering technique that uses advanced algorithms to trace the path of light and simulate how it interacts with virtual objects, creating environments that look realistic. Technology is one of the most talked about features that the new generation console has to offer, although gamers of PC they have known the technology in question for some time. Most of the console games to be equipped with ray tracing are new releases for PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X, like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: in this period, however, there are also many developers who are starting to use the technology to remaster their past games, like the original Spider-Man coming soon in an improved version on PS5.



    New mods created for GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas offer fans of the franchise the chance to relive games with modern lighting technology. The developer announced that GTA 5 will receive a remaster for PS5 and Xbox Series X, which will arrive in 2021, but he has never indicated that he will do the same for his older games. Rockstar has in fact kept the silence on GTA 6, opting instead for the release of new content for GTA Online, such as new updates and DLCs.
