Sony has updated, on YouTube, the official trailer dedicated to the launch of PlayStation 5 (titled: "PS5 Launch - New Worlds To Explore - Play Has No Limits"). What has changed compared to the previously uploaded movie concerns the indications shown below, in the center (while frames of future Triple A alternate at a hellish pace): these indications concern the launch windows of some of the most anticipated titles from the entire community, such as Rathet & Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon forbidden west and - reason why we are here to write to you - Gran Turismo 7.
As you can see for yourself in the image below, for Gran Turismo 7 the launch window indicated is no longer the first half of 2021 (as reported in the old Sony PlayStation official trailer). The message has been replaced with a generic "In development for PlayStation". It is curious to note that "PlayStation 5" is not even specified, which suggests that the next chapter of the series could also be dedicated to PlayStation 4.
The Gran Turismo series, created in 1997 da Kazunori Yamauchi and its development team, Polyphony Digital, has completely skipped the now previous generation of consoles. On PlayStation 4, in fact, the only chapter of the series to have been published was Gran Turismo Sport, which cannot be considered as a canonical chapter. Gran Turismo 6 instead made its debut in the now distant 2013 su PlayStation 3.
In late September Sony confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will run in 4K and 60fps on PlayStation 5. We also know that the game will offer full support for High Dynamic Range technology (known by the acronym HDR) and Ray-Tracing, for a graphics sector that (as tradition for the series, to be honest) promises to break many jaws. . The first and only time we got to see Gran Turismo 7 in action was when Sony released, on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, the announcement trailer dedicated to the title.
