The difficulties brought by the pandemic for COVID-19 they have been reflecting on many aspects of our life for over a year now. Even development studies around the world have had to deal with immense problems, so much to do slip many release dates (or launch windows) by the end of 2021, or point to the 2022. Gran Turismo 7 and the promising Riders republic di Ubisoft are among the titles affected by these difficulties.
Gran Turismo 7, currently in development at the studios of Polyphony Digital, was postponed to 2022. The title should have accompanied the launch of the new license plate console Sony, PlayStation 5 or - at least - it should have appeared a few corners later in the new car's initial path. At the moment there is no certain date for the launch of the new chapter of the car series. Riders Republic, which was originally set to launch in February 2021, now has a generic launch window set for later this year. Ubisoft he justified the slippage with the most classic (and understandable) of reasons: "We want to offer the best possible gaming experience, and it must be very fun".
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will not hiss behind us, in the dark (while a shrill voice accuses us of having stolen), before 2022. The launch of the title was expected by the end of this year, but the boys of Deadlic Entertainment (in collaboration with nacon) were forced to postpone its debut. The title will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Returnal, originally scheduled for release in March and currently in development at Housemarque it will be released on April 30 (but it should have been launched in March).
Kena: Bridge of Spirits, presented on the occasion of the official reveal of PlayStation 5, had already slipped at the beginning of 2021, to then receive a new release date, temporarily set for next 24 August. The colorful title developed exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PS5 will therefore not keep us company for most of the summer, unfortunately. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time it currently lacks a launch date, or even a generic window.
Hogwarts legacy, new title dedicated to the legendary fantasy saga of Harry Potter, has been postponed to 2022 after being announced in release for 2021. The title is currently being developed by the boys of Avalanche Software. Gotham Knights, spin-off of the series Batman, was supposed to be out by the end of 2021, but is currently being pushed back to 2022. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodline 2 it will hardly see the light by the end of this year and should be part of the long list of games whose debut has been postponed to 2022.
Dying Light 2, in progress at the studios of Techland, after a series of postponements (the last occurred last February) is expected by the developers to be released by the end of this year. Guilty Gear Strive, 2D fighting game by Arc Stytem Works, should have been released in days (April 2021), but will only see the light starting from next 11 June. Thankfully, that's not a lot of time. The 4X strategy title humankind it slipped from April to August due to a massive amount of not particularly exciting feedback received by the developer, Amplitude Studios, which he will use these weeks to fix the final details. Back 4 Blood, co-op shooter in horror sauce by Turtle Rock and spiritual following of Left 4 Dead was postponed to October 12, after it was originally announced for release on June 22.

Pragmatic, shown by Capcom in 2020 as one of the titles that should have accompanied the launch of the PlayStation 5 (or its first weeks of life, at least), it will not be released before 2023. N, the branded MMORPG Amazon, after a long series of postponements, it is currently set for release on 31 August 2021. Finally, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen it was originally scheduled for release last November.
