Google Stadia has gone too far with promises, according to Take-Two

Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two CEOrecently stated that Google Stadia has exaggerated its technology and does not appear to have expanded the market as predicted. During a speech at the conference on annual strategic decisions of Bernstein, Zelnick explained the reason why the company had supported the release of the stream, which so far does not seem to have met the expectations desired by fans on the platform.

Streaming technology is upon us. Stadia launch was too slow. I think it was a little too promising what the technology had to offer, and it caused a lot of consumer disappointment as a result.

Whenever you expand distribution, you potentially expand your audience, which is why we initially supported the release of Stadia with three titles and will continue to support high-quality streaming services until the business model makes sense. Over time, I believe streaming will work, and the belief that streaming would be transformative was based on the idea that there were a lot of people who really had an interest in interactive entertainment and were really willing to pay for it.

Much of his comments, however, were particularly focused on thecommercial aspect. Zelnick was critical on this point as well, seeming to suggest that he has no immediate plans for Google Stadia and pointing out that he was not the "turning point”Which must have been so much. In addition to this, the man also pointed out that i subscription templates and streaming are two different things that don't necessarily connect: according to him it is possible to have a subscription model without streaming, as we see in the Xbox Game Pass, or streaming without a subscription, as in Stadia. Related to this, did you know about the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on the aforementioned platform?
