Godfall: revealed a new mode after the end of the game

Godfall: revealed a new mode after the end of the game

A little over a month after its release, new details have emerged about the upcoming looter-slasher Godfall, which in particular inform fans about what to expect during the "winning" of the game. The relative details of one of the many PlayStation 5 launch games have been discussed by the technical manufacturer Dick Heyne within an interview that examined the details of the post-game content of Godfall once the players have defeated Macro. According to Heyne in an interview with GameByteOnce the main story is complete, a new mode will be available for Monolith fans called Tower of Trials. The latter features gameplay that, like the other game modes, can be played alone or in co-op. The mode features combat trials with progressively difficult enemies and unique rewards as players advance and earn floor keys, approaching the center of the monolith. However, once players leave the mode, progress will be reset.

As players progress through the mode, new doors will open offering different rewards, giving players the ability to choose different types of reward based on which doors are unlocked: Once the challenge behind the door is completed, players will earn the reward and can choose to continue the trial or exit the mode. While Godfall primarily focuses on online co-op, Counterplay Games clarified that Godfall can also be played alone (as we speak better in our dedicated article) without the need for a subscription to PlayStation Plus. This is absolutely excellent news for fans who are not subscribers to the online service, especially as the game will be priced well. 79,99 €, a new trend in modern games that could become a standard for everyone else.

While it doesn't need PlayStation Plus, it's not all good news for fans who can't wait to play. Just like the recent Marvel's Avengers, Godfall necessarily requires an online connection to play, as all save data for the game is stored on the server side to prevent any tampering by players. The need for an online connection doesn't mean Godfall will have microtransactions, however, as Counterplay has said the game will only have DLC but no details regarding the matter have been released. Godfall may launch soon, but players can still pre-order the game and receive bonus items on launch day. 12st November to PC e PlayStation 5.
