The odds are that it is an April Fool's Day, as today is the 1 ° April and as the news seems too good to be true. According to a tweet from the @BT_Black Thunder profile, Santa Monica Studio could present today officially God of War: Ragnarok (exclusive to PlayStation 5), in the company of Cory Barlog. The time indicated for the event is that of 21:00 Pacific Time, which in Spain correspond to 18.00 hours.
For the occasion, an image of a bearded man was shown driving a small boat in a landscape typical of history and Norse mythology. In the case it may be true news, it would therefore also be confirmed the title of this second chapter, Ragnarok, a term that refers to the final battle between the powers of light and those of darkness and chaos. A confrontation following which the world will be destroyed, to rise from their own ashes.
The God of War series, belonging to the genre of action adventures (and particularly violent) was originally born in 2005, exclusively for PlayStation 2, to then enjoy two successive chapters, respectively published in 2007 and 2010. After a long absence from the scene, Kratos is back as protagonist in the 2018 on PlayStation 4 with the new God of War (title to which we dedicated our review).
About two weeks ago we reported the news that Santa Monica Studio has opened new job positions for the development of a title not yet announced. Regardless of whether it may be an April Fool or not, it is very likely that in any case this mysterious game is precisely the sequel to the first God of War for PlayStation 4. Finally, Ragnarok is the most anticipated game from Hermen Hulst (currently in charge of PlayStation Studios) and by the creative directors of Insomniac Games Kevin Zuhn and Brian Horton.
