Giancarlo Esposito wants a prequel series for his character Gus Fring

The TV series Breaking Bad. is considered by many to be the best show in history that has ever been made. Many are the awards received to the actors and to the TV series in general, which has reached its fifth final season, seasoned with a film that landed several years later exclusively on Netflix, and expanded thanks to the excellent spin-off also very popular known by the name of B. Many fans, given the excellent work done on the spin-off series centered on the famous lawyer Jimmy McGill / Saul Goodman, have requested several times a new show dedicated to another really loved and charismatic character within the series: Gustavo Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito.

The latter, thanks to a truly exceptional year given the work done on The Mandalorian, The Boys, Far Cry 6 and others, would be really excited to be able to deepen the life of his character, considered one of the kings of methamphetamine and who, in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, they never delved into his past. Maybe, for this very reason, the actor Giancarlo Esposito would be delighted to put himself back in the shoes of the beloved Gus Fring. Interviewed by Esquire, he stated that:

I have the whole plot in my head related to the fact that it comes from a political reality. I think Gus comes from a world dominated by order. And that your order has come this far. He was a soldier. Outside the army he acquired the ability to observe. You cannot be a leader if you are unable to follow others.

In my brain, he held a high-ranking position in a military government. He could have stayed there and run the country. He was offered this possibility. But he chose a different path to be himself and to find his own power, regardless of what was offered to him. This is what he chose.
