As stated in the last few hours by Deadline, Sony Pictures e PlayStation Productions are developing a film adaptation of the hugely successful action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima, with Chad Stahelski, formerly known for the John Wick, as a director. The game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment focused on the samurai warrior Jin sakai it will then arrive on the big screen through the skilled hands of Stahelski, who previously has already been able to demonstrate that he knows how to perfectly manage the adrenaline-fueled fighting sequences in the series of films starring Keanu Reeves.
As we have already anticipated Ghost of Tsushima tells the story of the samurai warrior Jin Sakai, the last surviving member of the Sakai clan, who will find himself forced to put aside his ambitions and the teachings that have shaped him as a warrior to wage a war not conventional, in an adventure rich in tradition and elements typical of the culture of the Rising Sun. Stahelski, Alex Young and Jason Spitz are producing through their company 87Eleven Entertainment, while Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will produce on behalf of PlayStation Productions. Sucker Punch Productions will serve as executive producer, and Peter Kang is overseeing the project on behalf of the studio. We also remind you that at the moment Chad Stahelski is working on John Wick 4, the new chapter of the famous series starring Keanu Reeves who will see him again as director after directing the first three films. The film has been postponed numerous times due to the ongoing health emergency. We just have to wait for more information on the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima, of which at the moment no further official information has been revealed.
