In Destiny there are in total 62 Dead Ghosts and are scattered around the various planets in the game, but to unlock the result you just need to find 50. When you find one, the progress is immediately and automatically saved from the game, and since it is possible to visit the places where they are at any time ( both on mission and in free mode), there is no risk of not being able to find them if you advance in the game.
