We remind you that the event will showcase many World Premiere, information on previously announced games and various gameplay. The 2020 edition saw 34 games presented, of which twenty were announcements. The event will therefore allow us to get an idea of what awaits us in the Gamescom 2021 and tickle the palate in its expectation. The organizers of the German fair have announced that they want to propose a hybrid edition, both live and streaming, however the protraction of the pandemic could blow the plan, forcing them to re-propose an edition completely online. The last edition, despite the unprecedented formula practically forced by the health crisis, received a warm appreciation and participation. In fact, on 27 August 2020, two million people were connected. According to German Game Industry Association, the numbers obtained were an important signal for the sector, confirming the interest in gamers and for the event, despite the difficult times in which we are all living. In any case, if the edition were to be truly hybrid, the modality has already been announced. Basically there will be an entertainment area suitable for hosting a small number of guests, there will be a business area to allow partners to promote their products, sector professionals and companies will have access to a system to organize streaming and events and there will be a dedicated area for live events, with cosplay and competitions eSports. We just have to wait for both events to discover the news in the videogame field.
