    CD Project Red knows how to go big: positioning itself as an exclusive stand for the business area, it allowed us to see a hands-off gameplay of about 1 hour in which, starting from the creation of a character, they showed us a small but substantial section of game. So let's find out every single detail extrapolated from this demo of Cyberpunk 2077, very similar to the one shown atE3 but with various improvements.



    The game immediately allowed us to create a character: V - this is the name - will be a choice between male and female, and can be customized according to the origins, the reasons that led him to stay in Night City and, of course , in aesthetics. Once the character was created, in our case a female, we immediately saw how Night City be the protagonist of the whole game: the cyberpunk created by CD Projekt Red is alive, it touches our eyes and shows us what our future could be. People of all types and with all kinds of grafts are scattered around the city, from the most minimal to the most aesthetically bulky.

    Here then is the first mission: to retrieve a girl in the hands of a gang: between fairly standard firefights and exploration of this building, found the girl we will immediately find ourselves at the first big difference between today's real world and the world of game of cyberpunk 2077: The girl, because she took a cyber drug, has her card payment links for the medical service blocked. Once unlocked, the Trauma Team will quickly leave to save her, and we will have completed our first mission.



    The rest of the game leads us to meet various factions, each of which has its own advantages: it is precisely here that the soul of cyberpunk 2020, the paper role-playing game from which the studio took inspiration, becomes predominant. Dialogues will actually allow us to change our approach, varying subsequent gameplay sessions significantly. A choice how to reveal all or part of the truth will change the approach that some gangs will have with V, and this may lead you to avoid some firefights or not.

    Another interesting session was that of strengthening: the feasible changes to V's body will be of various types, from hidden blades to sensors capable of sending some data to the retina of the eyes. To add to these mechanical grafts, inhalers will be the way to heal and strengthen V during the game sessions, increasing reflexes, damage or any other value. As you already know, the open world of cyberpunk 2077 it will be explorable with V's car: it will be possible to move both with a first or third person view in this case, and the driving sessions will be completely free. Sometimes you could also run into firefights caused by past choices, and even here the approach you will have will change the dynamics of the game.

    The part that we considered most interesting of all was the infinite variability of choices to be made even during combat sessions: hand-to-hand or distance, long or short range weapons, stealth o action. Everything is in the hands of you and your pad, to the point that even the hacking you will do to disturb the enemies will be varied and different: you can in fact choose to hack a soldier to disturb the whole unit, separate him from allied contacts, block his weapons or change some of its values. The choice will be in your hands, and all this will be feasible if and only if you have bought the right upgrade.

    The RPG mechanic remains, therefore, as vital as in the paper role-playing game: V will be totally modifiable to your liking, and the choice of the first person view will add immersion in a game that will do everything to make you inside Night City not only players, but citizens. We do not know what awaits us beyond the demo seen during the two events, but what we can say is that the variety of weapons - from melee or distance - the skills and choices that Cyberpunk 2077 gives us are something innovative for the whole sector, and the reliability that CD Project Red earned with The Witcher bodes well for this title.
