Gamerome: video interview with Tomonobu Itagaki

For Gamerome - The City of Video Games, our Emanuele “Nucky” D'ascanio had the pleasure of interviewing Tomonobu Itagaki. The famous, and above all eclectic author, he was at the helm of Team Ninja, an internal division of Tecmo Ltd., from 1992 to 2008. Leading the historic Japanese developer, is the much acclaimed author of two cult sagas of the Rising Sun electronic entertainment industry: Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, which over the years have become a reference point for their genre and milestones of the Videogame. Since 2010, Itagaki has founded his own independent development studio, Valhalla Game Studios, releasing his first title in 2015: Devil's Third.

Itagaki is a rather sociable and easy-going figure and therefore, without any kind of problem, he made himself available in answering various questions on certain and important issues of the past and current of the videogame world: his beginnings as a developer of Tecmo Bowl on SNES, the disagreements with Tecmo, Virtual Reality and its future in the workplace. Before leaving you to watch the video, placed at the bottom of the news, the Editors of Resources4Gaming warmly thanks Marco Accordi Rickards, Director of the ViGaMus, for the support given during the interview.
