The boys of People Can Fly have communicated that they have taken an important decision to land the title on PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X / S, that is to build a new build of the game, specially designed for the new consoles. Among the biggest improvements that will come from this decision is certainly the fact that you can play Fortnite in 4K resolution at 60fps, both on PS5 and on the new console from Microsoft. The new version of Fortnite will be available at the launch of the new consoles, so starting from November 10th for Xbox Series X / S e from November 19 for PlayStation 5.
The next-gen version of Fortnite will be able to count on one new look of the graphics engine which will ensure a more realistic physics e new effects for the movement of trees and vegetation in general, they will credibly react to the explosion, as well as the graphic rendering of the effects related to smoke and water will be improved. Regarding Xbox series sunfortunately, it was specified that the game will not exceed 1080p at 60fps. The PlayStation 5 version will instead support full integration with all the new and exciting features of the Dualense, with a particular focus on handling tactile feedback. All progress made in the game will automatically carry over to the new consoles. Just download the new version of the game on the new machine and all the progress achieved in Fortnite will be immediately available. To celebrate the new version of the game, all who will log in from 4 November to 15 January 2021 will receive in gift the new Throwback Ax.
